Insurance Institute To Stop Online Exams For Agents

Saturday 24, June, 2006

The Insurance Institute of India (III) has decided to stop holding online examinations for insurance agents from July due to various fraudulent practices that were detected in the conduct of these exams.

The exams are a prerequisite for insurance agents after completing the mandatory 100 hours of training to represent the insurance company as its advisor. With the demand for agents increasing by the day insurance companies have been pressurising their candidates to clear their examinations as early as possible.

Candidates prefer the online exams as they could sit for the exam any day of the week but the III has discovered that many training institutes violate the exam guidelines laid down by them.
